Ecobee HomeKit Commands
/Does Ecobee Work With HomeKit? Yes, Ecobee Thermostats are designed to be compatible with HomeKit
in this post we cover HomeKit Siri commands that work with Ecobee so you can control your Ecobee smart thermostat with Siri voice commands on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Scroll down if you want to skip to the Ecobee Siri commands or how to connect Ecobee to HomeKit
What Is HomeKit?
HomeKit is Apple’s smart home integration system that provides direct integration with Apple iOS and allows you to control smart home devices from one app the “HomeKit” app on your iPhone, Apple Watch or use Siri voice commands to control your smart home using Siri voice commands on your phone or Apple Watch. With HomeKit you can then control your smart light bulbs by saying voice commands to your iPhone like “Siri, turn on living room lights.”
Ecobee HomeKit Compatibility
All current Ecobee smart thermostats are designed to work with HomeKit which enables native integration and control of the device from your iPhone but also allows you to use Siri Ecobee HomeKit Commands like “Siri, set the thermostat to 72.” to control your smart thermostat.
My personal favorite Ecobee Thermostat is the New Redesigned Ecobee Smart Thermostat because it’s loaded with features and it includes a smart room motion and temperature sensor in the box. The Ecobee smart room sensor has a built in motion sensor and allows you monitor the room temperature in a specific room or set and hold the temperature in a room. It can also be used to detect if you are using a room with the motion sensor and automatically help save you energy by adjusting the temperature if it detects that you are away from your house. The Ecobee3 Lite offers a good value alternative to the Ecobee and it also works with HomeKit commands.

Ecobee HomeKit Summary
Connecting your Ecobee Thermostat to HomeKit is a great way to add functionality to your Ecobee Thermostat and Apple Devices. There’s nothing better than adjusting your thermostat temperature with your voice at the end of long day while laying in bed.
I find that I adjust my temperature more often with Ciri voice commands than I do with by physically touching my thermostat or using the app. It’s quicker and more convenient to use your voice to control your Ecobee thermostat with Siri on your phone or watch.
